Hi John.
The platforms were wood in the 1800's and had four beams that supported the 
deck 
and the end bolsters, they had metal tie rods that drew the whole platform 
together, from the car body to the bottom of the steps on both sides were metal 
sheets to add support. We are still searching for trucks wood Pullman 4 wheel 
trucks are not easy to find and we will NOT compromise on trucks, if we dont 
find them then it will stay on its frame until we do or until we have new ones 
built.
