Hi John.
The platforms were wood in the 1800's and had four beams that supported the
deck
and the end bolsters, they had metal tie rods that drew the whole platform
together, from the car body to the bottom of the steps on both sides were metal
sheets to add support. We are still searching for trucks wood Pullman 4 wheel
trucks are not easy to find and we will NOT compromise on trucks, if we dont
find them then it will stay on its frame until we do or until we have new ones
built.
Thanks for the support

Hi Mike,
The car looks great but I have some questions. I notice that the end
platform is made of wood, is this the way it was in the late 1800's or was
the platform made of metal? Are there correct trucks for this car or will
you have to use some other type?
Thanks

Hi to all
We reached a milestone today after a huge weeks work, we have 32 windows
back in
our Pullman car and she really starts to get her elegant lines back again,
not
since 1926 has she looked like this. Some progress shots here, moving day is
the
17th. Eeek 1
