Thank you again, Leo, for the info.  Us youngins working now figured it might 
have had something to do with all the beer cars we used to take up to West 
Chicago.  :-D  Guess it's one of those "how many licks does it take to get to 
center of a tootsie pop" kinda things.  

Did the Alley Job turn off the main at the Aurora Tower?  And am I correct that 
the "Alley" was the old main alignment prior to the grade separation?   

Also, speaking of the CM&G and the J, there is still a metal "Stop" sign on the 
west side of the NIFA branch tracks along the old CM&G right of way.  

So many questions... I think I'll spend my next vacation at the Newberry 
Library... Nothing beats first hand accounts though.
