To answer your question about 3537 being a former 10 paired window coach
that would be YES. According to the roster and looking at the two photos it
is definatly a 10 paired window car. The Roster states 3537 was Coach 5939
and in my diagram book on page 142 is the drawing of 5939. The photo in
Spoors Color book page 16 has one side of 3537 (which if you count windows
it is more than 8 paired windows) has 10 paired windows. The other photo
in Zephyr 53 page 5 is the other side of a 10 paired window car like 3537.
So with all this information I would assume you can now faithfully build a
Combination like 3537 from a 10 paired window coach, in HO scale.
For the other cars that had 8 paired windows we will have to wait till we get
a
brass side kit. These combines are covered in my green book on page 230 & 231
are 6 photos of the 3531 series of cars. In my new book of Business cars
I have added a section at the end which includes drawings of cars I did not
have
information on in 1986. It does have a drawing and photo of Combine 3536.
I was told by the printer I will have my Burlington Business Car book today,
so I should have some at the BRHS meet in Rockford this week.
