Russ,
I "broke" for Lew Peshia on and off for several years in the C&I pool. He
loved the "moonlight job" (69/64) and worked it for a long time. He talked
about how they did local work westbound from Mendota to Denrock and then "ran"
eastbound from either Barstow or Denrock with the stuff out of the Quad
Cities.
Looking thru old timecards 69/64 didn't stop westbound except at Eola and
Mendota so my guess is they picked up at Eola whatever others had set out
there
westbound. Eastbound 64 stopped at Eola and Congress Park obviously to
setout the loads of machinery from Deere and Harvester.
In '46 the job ran Clyde to Denrock on Chgo and Aurora Div. but based on
time gaps it most likely laid over at Barstow or Quad Cities(I dont have a GT
div timecard) with 2 turns. In '53 operation appears to be the same. By '59
looks like a w/f turn out of Mendota to Denrock w/Sat and Sun off.
This supports your earlier summary.
