Bob and group,

We as modelers today are lucky to have available many Pullman Standard cars
that are prototype for foreign Pullmans used in Burlington Trains. Included
here are also the NP and GN trains that ran over the Q.

A year or so ago I talked with a representative from Walthers regarding
Walthers producing some of the Pullman Cars used in through service. Such as
the
PRR 10-5's painted for the Frisco, but lettered for the PRR. That's one
example there are many others. It goes back to the Durbin books, are all
Tuscan
Pullmans Pennsy and are all Pennsy Pullmans Tuscan. Of the Pullman cars this
group would be interested in mainly CZ, any foreign Pullman (I call all
sleeping cars Pullman no matter which company built the car) any 10-6 Pullman
could
stand in for the through CZ car. Because Pullman sold space not a particular
car. Unless of course in the CZ one wanted the Drawing Room or an open
section. Then you would be sure of which car you'd be in before boarding.

Of course NP had those 2 10-6's in the pool train. Which is why I brought it
up a few days ago as I wondered if that car had the small window next to the
vestibule, as the PRR seemed to like in their post war equipment.

Loren
