The Con-Cor Airslide is hardly a "rerun" of their original car.
The Airslide was young Jim Conway's entry into the Model Railroad Industry 
(IIRC... there was also a USRA boxcar kit that might have predated it).
The car was a very basic kit of many parts and was done when Jim was still in 
his teens....
The new car is based on his research materials obtained from GATX at the time 
when the cars were still relatively new and is going to be brand
new state of the art injection molded plastic.
