I rode the City of Miami in January 1958 and there was one of the NP domes
in the consist. I think this was the first year.

No those dome cars were from the Missouri Pacific, they were bought for the
Colorado Eagle. IC did lease during the winter Budd Dome Pullmans from the
North Coast Limited pool. They were repainted in IC colors, there is a shot
of
one running in the Southwind, painted in NC colors, the shot is from the
late
1960's.

If so, what railroads did they lease them to?
What type of cars did they lease?
Were the cars re-painted to match the leasing railroads cars?
I thought I saw in one DVD that I have a dome car that was in
Illinois Central colors, except that the dome metal was left silver.
Was this possibly a "Q" car?
