No those dome cars were from the Missouri Pacific, they were bought for the
Colorado Eagle. IC did lease during the winter Budd Dome Pullmans from the
North Coast Limited pool. They were repainted in IC colors, there is a shot of
one running in the Southwind, painted in NC colors, the shot is from the late
1960's.

Group,
I read or heard somewhere that the Burlington would lease some of
their passenger cars to other railroads during there off-peak
(winter, I assume)tmes.
Is this true?
If so, what railroads did they lease them to?
What type of cars did they lease?
Were the cars re-painted to match the leasing railroads cars?
I thought I saw in one DVD that I have a dome car that was in
Illinois Central colors, except that the dome metal was left silver.
Was this possibly a "Q" car?
Thanks
Jim Schwarz
