I was commuting out of Belmont at the time of the derailment and we were
delayed getting into Chicago that day although not hopelessly.
Somebody just posted a collection of photos, of which I forget which list and
whose, that included pictures of the wreck.
The station building (with the agent) IRRC was on the South side of the tracks.
There was some sort of waiting shelter on the middle track
platform which did get leveled, but the station itself was only dinged on one
corner.... but was torn down anyway.
I don't remember what was in the all-door cars, but there wasn't much to them
and I do recall them and their contents being all over the place.
