I dont believe the building on the south side of the mains at Belmont you
reference was ever a Q facility.
While it probably wasn't the "original" Belmont Ave depot, the one that was
between #2 and #3 mains was destroyed by #97 in 1973 or '74. #97 went on the
ground there and the pile of cars basically wiped out and then buried the
depot. When we went by about 16-20 hours later on #85 Hulchers backhoes were
digging a giant hole and dumping car parts and ladings into it. I believe from
time to time things like refrigerators,marine outboard motors,etc float to the
surface or are unearthed during an excavation.
They should find all kinds of interesting things when they set the footings
for the overpass.
