Hello Mike;
Check page 81 of the book "Never on Wednesday" by Richard Loveman and Mel
Patrick. You will see an interior of the lounge that was created where the
room
accommodations once were.
I booked and traveled in Bedroom B round-trip from Salt Lake City to Denver
and return in March of 1975. Bedroom B featured the long sofa arrangement.
Great for napping!
So you can rest assured the Bedrooms and Drawing Room where still intact at
that time.

Thanks Hubert, I am familiar with that book, and for some reason never
bought a copy of it for my library. It is my understanding that RGW did the
conversion right around 1975. I guess they left the bedroom closest to the
vestibule, but converted it to a large bathroom. I am amazed that no other
publications other than what you state has ever shown a picture of the forward
converted lounge area. Hopefully someone that rode the RGZ towards the end of
its
life shot interior shots.
Mike
