Today there are a few industries left, the main one is up at I 88 the
tollway, Dart Container. They use the bridge across the tollway as a switching
lead.
At one time in the cafeteria at Barber-Green they had an O scale model of
the factory with the Q railroad, I've often wondered what happened to it when
the plant shut down. My Dad worked at the plant he was out in the yard, as the
yard foreman. His job along with his crew was to move machines around
between assembly, shipping, and storage.
