If I remember correctly from 1969 and 1970, the dome coach walls were painted
brown, as was the walls and trim in the domes. The seats were a dark turquoise.

I believe the walls of the sleepers I rode, Silver Creek and Silver Crag,
were beige.

Dan -
I too have two full trains of the BWL models and want to do the
interiors. I have a number of books on the CZ, but none of them have
diagrams or color pictures. The best source I have found are several
color videos on the CZ. You won't be able to get specific interiors of
each car, but you can get the overall color schemes of the interiors and
seats. The most important is the dome areas, as they are most visible.
Lounge and dining areas had murals painted on the walls, but these would
be hard to see from outside the car through the tinted windows.

Like many CB&Q fans, I now own enough HO Broadway-Limited
California
Zephyr passenger cars to recreate multiple consists. While the
BLI
cars aren't perfect, they do look good, run well and did not
break my
bank account!

I'm now ready to start on modeling improvements; my first would
be to
paint the interiors. Beyond a few promotional ads, however, I
have yet
to find a source with either decent color pictures of individual
car
interiors or accurate verbal descriptions.

I would appreciate any suggestions on where to find photos or
descriptions that would help me to model reasonably accurate
interiors
for my CZ cars, especially the CB&Q ones.

Thanks!
Dan Russell
