Keith - Is there a base model in S scale that can be modified?  I'd love to
see one in S scale as well but what I'd REALLY like to do is build one in
1/4" scale using Proto:48 standards.  That is what I was originally going to
do.  At 48, my eyes focus better for O than for HO.  Cost was the issue, and
the fact that it would be a ground-up build.
 
However, as stated, a lot of what we are doing will be illustrated in
prototype measurements and could apply anywhere.  N or Z may be a bit small
for all the see-through grill work but I'm sure someone could figure it out.
