[CBQ] C&S 600 series 2-8-0 from Bachmann 2-8-0?

I want to have some C&S 600 series 2-8-0s for my C&S layout.  I am looking at 
the Bachmann Spectrum 2-8-0 as a possible starting point.  Has anyone 
considered such a project?  Are the drive and boiler diameters even close?  
Other issues, problems?  Successes?
