The E5B units did not have tapers in their roofline. RI E3s, TAs, and DL109s had this feature to match up with their low-profile equipment. Q units didn't need it because the power cars transitioned the train up to the profile of the Zephyr units which was close enough to the standard EMD cab unit profile.
