The MODELflex CBQ Imitation Aluminum was match to a CB&Q Imitation Aluminum
DuPont Dry Plate Standard which is used to make the correct color of the paint,
After we match the color the paint is lighten for scale and then bottled, not
sure where Athearn or Intermountain got there sample. Also Rock Island Aluminum
White is the same color as CB&Q Imitation Aluminum.

Can someone suggest to me on what paint or blend of paints comes close
to the Q freight F unit color? The Modelflex 16-193 CBQ Imitation
Aluminum looked too dark when I matched a swatch with Athearn and
Intermountain units. I seem to remember MR having a paint shop article
long ago (80s) concerning the color. TIA
