to floor carpet from the hallways.. Original salmon is showing a lot

Aeolus3@aol.com wrote:First off the Burlington didn't own any Budd 11 Bedroom
Sleepers. Other than
the sleepers on the 1936 Denver Zephyr sets, the Burlington owned the
following Budd Sleepers.
10-6 three configurations
6-5
16 Section, rebuilt with no external changes to 48 seat reclining chair cars
6-6-4
24-8 Slumber Coaches
1-3 Vista Dome Observation

10-6 - CZ total of 6 built in 1948 Silver Point, Silver Shore, Silver Butte,
Silver Cliff, Silver Falls, and Silver Valley

10-6 (1952) - CZ 2, Silver Crag and Silver Chasm.
ARZ 2, Silver Dale and Silver Slope.
Blackhawk 4, Silver Isle, Silver Meadow, Silver Plain and Silver Prairie all
built 1952 These 8 10-6's differed from the 1948 CZ 10-6's they did not have
the extra isle windows on the bedroom side.

10-6 - DZ 6 built 1956 3 more 10-6's built in June and July 1956. These
10-6's had a different configuration, from the vestibule, 4 roomettes, 6 double
bedrooms, and 6 roomettes. Thus placing the double bedrooms in the middle of
the
car, placing the higher accomidation in the quitest part of the car. Silver
Ridge, Silver Plateau, Silver Hollow, Silver Terrain, Silver Ravine, and Silver
Boulder.

6-5 Sleepers, 3 - CZ 1952 Silver Dove, Silver Quail and Silver Thrush. 2 -
DZ 1956 Silver Swan and Silver Pelican.

16 Section 2- CZ 1948 Silver Maple, Silver Larch and 1 CZ 1952 Silver Cedar.
All rebuilt to 48 reclining seat chair cars in the early 1960's.

24-8 Slumbercoach 4 1956 DZ Silver Slumber, Silver Siesta, Silver Rest, and
Silver Repose.

6-6-4 Sleeper 1952 Silver Flower, Silver Gladiola, Silver Hyacinth, Silver
Iris, Silver Orchid, and Silver Tulip

1-3 Observation 3 - CZ 1948 Silver Penthouse, Silver Horizon, Silver
Solarium, and 1 CZ 1952 Silver Lookout.

Now remember these Pullmans I've listed are the Budd built post war sleepers.
I know many went on into Amtrak service with some going through the Amtrak
HEP conversion. Also in the late 1960's the Burlington had I think 2 Slumber
Coaches from the NP placed in Q ownership, I'm not sure which ones.

Right now as far as HO models go the only completely prototype models would
be the Walthers Slumbercoach and these would only be the 2 that the NP
transfered into Q ownership. As all the above listed sleepers (Pullmans even
though
built by Budd) had the full skirting. The NP Slumbercoaches didn't have the
skirting. BLI has plans to build the 1948 CZ 10-6's. But Silver Crag and Silver
Chasm won't be prototype for the BLI CZ Cars.
All the Burlington Pullmans have been produced in brass by different
importers.
