I know of no "run-through" freights going West via the route
indicated.
CB&Q did accommodate a NYC request to have it's main transfer
from CB&Q powered with their units. This was a result of both
the NYC and PRR getting out of some of their local agreements
and using road crews to handle traffic directly to and from Cicero.
Since this change was purely operational I doubt that any traffic
was solicited with this operation in mind. I do know for sure
that at least one customer threatened to pull their traffic off the
CB&Q because their cars were put on this train Eastbound out of
Galesburg. CB&Q did as requested.
