It would appear that the 605 was painted in the "red bird" scheme Sept. 1967,
it was still in this scheme Sept.1968 as shown in Steve Goen's FW&D color book.

The unit also appears in Hol Wagner's "Colorado Road".... it was a FW&D unit
and was painted illegally....when the Chicago hats spotted it it was
promptly repainted into the authorized regulation switcher scheme, if I
remember the story correctly...
