Harold,

Thanks for the info. I will go online and Google the two books to
see what I come up with. Powells.com and abebooks.com are also
pretty good resources--not to mention railroadbookstore.com. I'll
check 'em all out!

Look forward to seeing how your modular layout progresses. Maybe
I'll have to "swing by" Sheridan next time I'm on my way up to the
HIlls!

Take care,

Paul Pearson

standards and will model the Black Hills, Narrow Gauge on these
modules. So far, we have arrived at 30" wide and 4' or 6' long.
The rail will be 4" from the fron and are discussing an upper rail
in the back, but want some latitute so may not go that way and we
may very well make it sectional so that rack can be different on
each module. Anyway there are several of us out here that love the
Black Hills, but we are fortunate to be only 150 miles away. There
are two more books that are great, one on the Black Hills ghost
towns and another about the mines only, but I just moved and all my
stuff is in storage currently, so as soon as I get unpacked I will
pass on the titles. The 125 years of railroading is a superb book
and well worth the cost. Mildred's book is an icon on the Black
Hills, but lacks some info that is in the 125 years of railroading.
