Bob,
Jimmy Owens would be Jim (Homer) Owens, he would be my great-uncle. His
brothers Larry and Lyle were also engineers out of Galesburg at the same
time.
Homer is quite a character and Bill Franckey says one heck of engineer. My
dad worked with all three and he thought Lyle was the best with the
air-brakes but was the hardest to work for because it was his father. I
would love to hear some stories about Homer. I hear that he is not in good
health .
