Jefferson Ice Company had those vending machines all around the Chicago
suburbs (and presumeably in Chicago itself).
I remember one located at 31st and Maple on the LaGrange Park side....IIRC
it was in the vacant prairie even before the Dairy Queen was built, along
with a similar vending machine for Willow Farm milk.
