On page 42 of Holbrook & Lorenz's Waycar book, is one of the NE 12's without
stripes and there are no panels on the ends. Its #13542 if that helps you too.

without the stripes. On this economy move, did the CB&Q leave off the
red panels on the ends too? I cannot find a picture that has that
