Many of the contest models I have seen at the BRHS have had the red oxide
tender decks.  The color that is applied to the models is less Chinese Red
than the rendition of the artwork.
If some authority of the caliber of Hol Wagner can state with certainty that
the tender decks didn't have red oxide paint I'll get Broadway to change it.
