Robert,

Only have 37 years, minus 3 in the Army, of Railroad experience but I agree
with you. The information requested was not of any significance. For that
matter Locals and Yard Jobs are constantly changing and are often only
run when necessary, even if a schedule says otherwise.

Have felt for some time that the various "threats" that are reported by the
AAR and the upper levels of Railroad Management are self serving
fabrications that only serve to feed their egos.

Looking at the "Big Picture" the capacity constraints that currently exist are
enough to partially hamper the ability of this country's transportation infra-
structure. These restraints are internal, whether they exist because of
Employee attitudes or the parsimony of Management.

An outsider could not do a better job.

Russ

littles think a terrorist is going to bother with asking a group like ours for
information that he can
obtain just as easily from the USGS, the public library, any number of
map-making web sites, or just getting
in a car and following the nearest rail line to its next yard?

contradict the 50 previous answers and break down into arguing over whether it
is milepost 231.4 or 231.5,
whether motor 501 was ever painted white or had its headlight replaced in July
of 1955 or August of 1954, or
whether coal loads were ever spotted at Aurora -- in other words, the poor
terrorists will be sucked into
the very things that make this group so fun and interesting.
