Yes, there were Main trains during the Korean conflict. I rode a few as a
"Passenger Agent." They were a conglomeration of all types of heavyweight
sleeping cars and a dining car if necessary AND, believe it, a caboose in
places!

Do not know about during the Korean War but on Sept 1, 1965 there were two
moves.
Main 875 with E-9 9989 and E-8 9944B with fourteen cars
Main 882 moved in train No. 1 Chicago to Colo. Springs
