Just to complete this thread the first find of SD24's going East
into Clyde would have been early on the morning of 27-May-59.

LW68 out of Willis Yard Departing at 8:15 p.m. on 26-May-59
with the 501-502-503-505-504, Condr. Manwarren. Looks
like a typical Galesburg move. Train was dead freight made up
on Departure 4 and picked up 10 perishable off the Ice House
giving him 30 for Congress Park and an unknown number for
Cicero. IHB setout was made at 1:25 a.m.

As far as the locomotive delivery scheme goes the only other
one I remember for sure is the CRI&P/CMStP&P at Cedar
Rapids. I'm sure there were others.
