There may be a little crook to this thing. As you
know, the membership in a Brotherhood was not always
the same as who was the Bargaining Agent. On this part
the railroad, most conductors did not belong to the
ORT (they stayed in the BRT), but it (the ORT) was
their bargaining agent. Likewise, a lot of engineers
stayed in the Fireman's Brotherhood, but the BLE was
their bargaining agent. So it may be that some
switchman belonged to SUNA, whBRT BRt was their
bargaining agent.
