Eric and other LMB / NPP 2-10-4 owners who want a disc main driver,

The Santa Fe guys have rounded up drawings and info to send to Greenway
Products in Pennsylvania to get (I THINK) a 64" Boxpok main driver made.
Their motivation is for the the Santa Fe 2-10-2s but it might well be the
same thing the M4s got when they were rebuilt. The models have a spoked main
driver which is wrong considering the rest of the model represents the
rebuilt M4a. The driver hasn't been made yet as far as I know but I'm
keeping my eye out and plan to try re-drivering my "odd-bugger" LMB 2-10-4
when they come out.

Another way to get the Boxpok driver is what Roger Miller has done. He has
converted his fleet of 2-10-4s by making a very thin circle of brass with
holes drilled for the Boxpok holes and crank and then that circle attached to
the driver face.

If you want to model a pre-rebuild M4 that's a piece of cake I think. Round
up a LMB or NPP DM&IR 2-10-4 locomotive and just put the CB&Q tender behind
it. You get the separated sand domes this way which is the most important
spotting feature. I'm sure there are more differences. I don't know what
you do with the extra "Q" M4a loco and DM&IR tender!
