Back in the early 1970's I used to work in Dixon for a company whose main plant is in Aurora, so I drove US30 many times, along the C&I from Shabbonna to Aurora. Always wondered where the town names came from. Does anyone know the origin of "Mored?" It's a siding, but why is it named? Was there a settlement there a long time ago? Just wondering. Ray C.
