Mike Spoor's Color Guide has photos of CB&Q flat cars with JI Case
construction tractors and with IH farm implements (planter/cultavator
of some kind).
I was wondering who were all of the farm equipment manufactures that
shipped product on the CB&Q and from what locations. Did Case ship on
the Q only out of Burlington, IA? Were the IH implemnts from
Chicagoland plants or from the Canton, IL plant? Did John Deere,
Minneapolis-Moline, Massey-Ferguson, Ford, Oliver, New Holland, etc.,
ship on the CB&Q ?
I was also wondering who were all of the construction equipment
manufactures that shipped their product on the CB&Q and from where.
Caterpillar at Montgomery, IL has been mentioned in previous posts;
did they also ship on the Q out of Peroria, IL or other locations?
Any other construction equipment firms ship product on CB&Q ?
Thanks in advance. Answers to the above questions will aid in my
selection of die-cast farm & construction models for use as
prototypical CB&Q flatcar loads.
