When applying decals to the metal finish, whether it is some type of metallizer paint or the bare metal foil, what type of finish coat has anyone used to hide the decal film. Normally, I would use Dullcoat or Floquil Flat Finish to blend the decal in with the painted surface. Obviously, this defeats the intent of the shiny metal surface when simulating stainless steel as on the sides of an E unit. What has anyone used to retain the shiny appearance of the metal yet hide the decal film? |
