I have enjoyed reading the posts about CB&Q's cantilever signal
bridges. I know that one still exists, which on the BNSF near the
St. Charles Air Line underpass. One other cantilever signal bridge
that I saw was a picture in the book "Those Magnificent Trains: An
American Anthology" by Charles E. Ditlefsen. On page 51, there is a
picture of CB&Q's train #27 going under a cantilever signal at
Council Bluffs, Iowa, in 1958. Does this signal still stand, and are
there any other cantilever signals that survived the BN and BNSF
mergers? Also, how does one model this signal bridge in HO Scale?
Thanks,
