Ken, I try not to discourage fellow modelers, but a K-2 is a pretty tall order. If you don't want to go with a brass model your more or less stuck with kitbashing and scratchbuilding. Mantua has a 4-

I'll agree with on one thing, It's difficult to make a bashed loco look good. If you have the budget, it's much easier just to buy the brass. -EJ

Ken, I have a surplus NPP CB&Q K-2 4-6-0 that I purchased new way back when. It has never been painted and still has its original box and foam in good condition. It also still has the original decals
