I grew up at Serena and still travel in LaSalle County frequently. A lot of those things have vanished. The track is still in use from Montgomery to Streator so bridges are in place. The location of

Yes, the brick station at Ottawa is still there. It is now used by Illinois Railnet as well as the engine house. Remember going into the station as a kid to find out when grandpa would be coming in.
