IIRC, drawbar connected units had a canvas bellows instead of a diaphragm, since they were rarely disconnected. After couplers were installed, standard diaphragms were added. Thanks! Brian Ehni (Sent

I can see some sort of "thing" on the side of the diaphragm I am describing. It sort of looks like a class-light housing, though that would not be what it was. That is why I think there IS a diaphrag

Brian, I looked at the video more closely after your comments. I do agree--that there isn't a diaphragm. It does look to me that the first couple of inches inwards from the outside edges of the ends
