The Railway Age cars are probably 50' smooth side simular to AMTRAK 1300 series baggage. AMTRAK used them for baggage, express, and mail. They even put diesel gen. sets is a few for emergancy HEP. Ha

Take a close look at the cars and I think you will find they have the same cross section as a standard lightweight car NOT the standard Pullman built box cars used for the WWII Sleepers and Kitchen c

Ted Anderson at IRM has a set of the interior and exterior photos of Pullman troop sleeper. same cross section as a standard lightweight car NOT the standard Pullman built box cars used for the WWII
