Purington Brick also had a big clay pit in Blue Island. Was between 119th St to 123rd and Rock Island main line (east side) and their "Suburban Line" to the west. There was another brick yard along B

Richard is absolutely right...The north end of Rock Island's Burr Oak yard was called Purington..There was a "shanty" there known as Purington Shanty....There was also an "eternal flame"...consisting
