To all: As of late I have been fascinated with the pre-merger green equipment. However, I don't know much about them. I have seen photographs of 40' boxcars and the gigantic 80'+ boxcars in the green

Locomotives -- all the U23Cs, all the SD45s as you noted, and a single GP40. Neat bit on the GP40 I recently learned. It was repainted in green about 1-1/2 years before the merger, but it had the BN

Remember folks the merger almost did happen in May of '68. Timetables for employee's were printed and distributed, including the Milw. Rd./Q joint St. Croix Tower to St. Paul. I got mine from a Hiawa
