The NP cars that were first discussed, were part of an arrangement with SP for the CASCADE through car service from Oakland to Seattle (and return). The NP cars were almost identical to the SP 10-6s

I never said the Pullman Standard 10-5 was a "stand in" for the NP/SP Cascade 10-6 Pullman car. I was asking if there was a photograph of the prototype car that is better than the only one I have tha

Sorry, my mistake (re: 10-5). The Walthers car is a 4140 - and the PRR did own quite a few. But, SP owned more than a few as well, and the stainless clad version was much more popular in the South. J

Oh yes, those Walthers 10-6's are most useful, I don't remember which book the shot is in, but there's a shot of 4 PRR Pullmans in Tuscan, if I remember it's 1 4-4-2 and 3 10-6's running in the Weste
