I would bet that there is a companion shot of the E7 that may show the third train. The collection is in order by road number and I ended up starting in the GP7s and have worked down into the F3s. I'

The reason for the additional power F7 was that there was a "boat (train) load of railfans and others riding that day. I was not in Lincoln at the time of this occurence, but I've heard lots of stuff

As this thread has progressed, I have remembered that I was correct in stating that motor car 9767 was laid up and so did not power the least run -- but it had been laid up for some time, replaced by

I was able to find two more photos of that day from Jim Seacrest. The E7 with the honors that day was 9930A. In this first photo, we find 15-42 at Table Rock during its roughly 10 minute station stop
