I suggest that you start with "Chicago Union Station" by Edward M DeRouin published by Pixels Publishing in 2003. As well as the history of CUS, there are plans of the concourse, tracks, etc. plus he

Ed DeRouin's very fine book Chicago Union Station has the track diagrams of CUS. Ed's book is a wealth of information on the history and operations of CUS. It's a must for any Burlington Fan as well
