David 11106 in your photo was an XA-8 which had its auxiliary door welded shut in 1946-1950, and was reclassified for AAR purposes as a box car as opposed to an auto car. In May 1967, there were just

To add to Rupert's information, there were only 57 left in the July 1963 ORER out of an original class of 1500. Nine cars were listed in the January 1966 ORER. Since they were built in 1925, I would
