All-
From what I can recall only a few of the 50’ single sheathed wood box cars got modern BURLINGTON style stenciling. The CB&Q, GN, NP and MILW were remarkable for operating such cars in their WWII configuration right through the 60s and likely until the 70s. While they weren’t all spiffy they were not rolling wrecks at the end either….very serviceable as I recall.

Thanks all for the information, especially locating a picture of the car in my era.
The rule 90 is a bummer as I don't model the Q. I will either make an exception or perhaps part with the kit when I'm done lettering it. I should research more before I build.
