XAP classes were changed to XML in about 1966, XAP-1 to XML-7, XAP-2 to XML-6/A/B/C, XAP-3 to XML-10. I havent researched it but, looking at the codes in ORERs, I think that the AAR changed the desig

Rupert, That is probably right. I just looked at my January 1966 and July 1966 ORERs and the cars are listed as AAR XAP. The next ORER I have is October 1968 and they are shown as AAR XP with a code
