- Could it been a conncetion with an eastern road. Peoria, IL has been used by many railroads to get around Chicago and save a day in transit times.(It is what keep TPW around for so many years) Will D

- Depends on how good the Q traffic solicitor was. Think about the MN&S..there was no logical reason for traffic from the Pacific NW to move via that line, yet they seemed to be involved in every move.
