These units (the only F-3s without dynamic brakes on the Q) retained their original 9900-series numbers until trade-in, but were re-painted into the paint scheme - I no longer have my date data, but

Actually, Marshall, another way of IDing them is the arrangement of the nose grabs and grabs on the cab roof followed the E Unit Pattern which was different from the rest of the F Unit grabs.... Char
