The Milwaukee built a connection from just north of the curved Foster bridge to the CM&A at a place called Hilton Jct., about half way between Moravia and Albia. The CB&Q map also shows Hilton, but

My 1919 map does show the line from Hilton to Foster with connections at both ends, but I'm not sure how accurate that is.

IIRC the M&StL had one or more Budd RDC's for a while. I don't know where they operated, but the RDC's may have been what you term a "streamliner." Ray C.

Bill: The M&StL had trackage rights over both the CB&Q and the Wabash from Albia to Des Moines. They ran a Second class train each way. # 894 was Eastbound and # 895 was Westbound. These are shown in

Hello, Steven. OK. then it must have joined with the Wabash just south of the depot there in Alnia. It was always around 10 p. m. when I would see it, and the train was invariably dark -- no lights
